Nolbert Chavez, Principal
Nolbert D. Chavez is a Principal with Capitol Success Group, a government affairs and lobbying firm based in Denver, Colorado. Nolbert has a variety of clients, they include Denver Options; the Mental Health Center of Denver; Valley-Wide Community Health Systems; and the Colorado Association of Alcohol & Drug Service Providers; Adams State College; Ameristar Casinos; Colorado West Regional Mental Health Center; and Peer Assistance Services.
Nolbert D. Chavez served in the Colorado House of Representatives from 1995-2003. He served on the Health, Environment, Welfare, & Institutions Committee (HEWI); Business Affairs & Labor Committee; Local Government; Education; State, Veterans, & Military Affairs Committee; Judiciary; Criminal Justice; Appropriations; and House Services. He was twice appointed by Governor Romer to the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council. Speaker of the House Russ George appointed Representative Chavez to the Electric Utility Deregulation Committee of the Council of State Governments. In addition, Mayor Wellington Webb appointed him to serve on the Denver Community Corrections Board.
Mr. Chavez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Marketing, from the University of Phoenix. He also has completed graduate coursework in Organizational Management, Business Administration, and Public Administration from the University of Phoenix, University of Denver, and the University of Colorado, respectively. In 2004, Nolbert completed an executive education program at the Harvard Business School in Corporate Governance.
In his spare time, Nolbert is the founder of the Vesparados Scooter Club and is an avid runner having completed the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington D.C., October 30, 2005.
Joshua J. Rael, Associate
Joshua J. Rael is an Associate with the Capitol Success Group, a government affairs and lobbying firm based in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Rael holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colorado State University--Pueblo.
Mr. Rael worked next to the Chair of the Joint Budget Committee as a Colorado General Assembly Legislative Aide from 2004-06. While in law school, Mr. Rael served two years as an elected officer of the Latino Law Student Association and helped win, organize, and successfully host the 2005 National Latino Law Student Conference in Denver. Mr. Rael also worked for the Colorado Public Defender’s Office, the Walt Disney Company, Koncilja and Koncilja P.C., and the Ritter for Governor Campaign.
Additionally, Mr. Rael has a successful career as a national recording artist and professional vocalist. In 2004, Mr. Rael’s debut CD was nominated for a Grammy in the “Best Pop Album” and “Best Pop Male Vocalist” categories. Mr. Rael has had the opportunity to perform for President Clinton, Vice President Gore, the late Selena, several Colorado Rockies games, and many other events.
